Festival Park

Acrylic – 8″ x 11″ on gallery stretched canvas.
The park is actually much bigger than it looks in this painting. It lies beneath the Festival Theatre, which is home to many amazing theatre productions for most of the year, and beside Lake Victoria, in downtown Stratford Ontario. The park is used for many things such as soccer, cricket, picnics and occasionally firework displays. Honestly, I’m very lucky to be able to live here.

Cliff Serenity

Acrylic painting on 18 x 24” canvas. This is a painting that brings together the quiet strength of a rocky cliff and the stillness of water beneath. I used both a palette knife and brush to capture the textures of weathered stone and the soft relfetions in the water. A single heron near the edge adds a small moment of life to the scene. This piece grew from appreciating the roughness of the cliff and the calm surface below – a balance between ruggness and peace that felt important to show. It’s a place to pause and take in the quiet details we often miss.
